Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at WSFA.org> I couldn't finish "Falling Free". And it was a Nebula winner for Best novel back in the ancient era of 1988. So it goes . . . I'm currently working my way through the "new" Heinlein. Fascinating reading for what he used for future stories. As a novel it's very very didactic. Yes, it's that bad. More later . . . Was in NYC Sunday came back Monday. Read most of "Virtual Unrealities : The Short Fiction of Alfred Bester" on the train. Jeeze, could he write . . . mjw >>> eginter at klgai.com 05/04/04 04:44PM >>> Ia this yet another Dwarves in Space book or has Ms. Bujold broadened her horizons? Arriving today or tomorrow will be copies of Bujold's Hugo nominated novel Paladin of Souls. These are remainders (publisher is probably just reducing inventory, not getting rid of all of it) and will probably have the dreaded, but ubiquitous, black marker blotch on the edges of the book. I'll bring some on Friday. And they'll be the same price/deal as the books I've brought to the last few meetings: $6 each, 2 for $10.00. Give these books a new home! And should certain documents show up, I will have a really neato announcement to make on Friday. mjw
