What Ivy said goes for me.  If I have an announcement
for you, I'll tell you it's an announcement.  Seems
simple to me.

Rather than the complex "no response" idea, why not
just remind people occasionally that if they would
like their announcement from the list to appear in the
WSFA Journal, they should say so.  It seems to me that
the announcements on the WSFAlist are very short time
wise and why read about them a month later?  Is the
Journal that needy for material?
