I am very satisfied with the past two Subarus I've owned.  I have a '92
Legacy in Florida with more than 140k on it and an '04 Forester with 8k
so far.  Both are very comfy and handle well.  A couple of years ago, I
was playing tag with a Corvette on I95 in Florida and was clocked at
120mph with my Legacy.  The Forester is no where near as sporty, but the
Outback/WRX models are.

You might try carmax.com for an idea of what is available.

Just my two fennigs worth.
