Subject: [WSFA] Thanks for the Car Advice
Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at WSFA.org>

All,

Thanks for the car advice. I wound up taking the following advice:

1. If you liked your '99 Camaro, buy another (thanks, Barry!).

2. Try carmax (thanks, Stan!).

I was once extremely interested in cars. But I'm not 23 anymore.
Still, though, some of that interest has lingered over the years. It's
probably why I'll spend 3 months (very, very much part time and somewhat
lackadaisically) shopping before buying a replacement vehicle. That's
what I did in '99 and '91.

Being told to buy a replacement for my totalled Camaro in less than a
week was not pleasant, to say the least.

Today I wound up buying a Camaro from Carmax. It has a lot fewer miles
on it, plus power seats. It also has a T top. It's a reasonable trade.
If something really bad shows up in 5 days I can take it back for a
full refund. Yes, my mechanic will be looking it over.

I'm going to look into everybody's suggestions at more leisure. This
car won't last forever and they're not making Camaros any more.

Oh -- for those worried about my health -- while I seem OK I do have a
doctor's appointment for Monday.

Thanks for everybody's help!

Best,

Chuck Divine
