It looks like I made the right decision in seeing I Robot today
instead of last Thursday. It cost $5.75, and I could have seen it for
free on Thursday. But the round trip Metro fare would have been $5.70
due to the recent Metro rate increase. And on my way out I found a
dollar on the floor of the theater, so I'm $0.95 ahead.

It was indeed a good action movie, though one with little to do with
anything Asimov wrote. They did keep some of the names, though not
apparently birthdays. (Asimov said Susan Calvin was born in 1982,
which would make her 53 in the movie. She didn't look 53.) And in
the book the company was "US Robots" not "US Robotics". "US Robotics"
makes modems. I hope the studio got permission to use their name.
