The earlier the better, but no later than noon Saturday, i.e. just under a week from right now. Wade has the graphical browser and the printer, and he I get together only on weekends, so for now the deadline for each issue will be nearly a week before each First Friday. (He also has the scanner, not that that's relevant for your article unless there's graphics in it.) (The Gillilands have loaned me a printer. But it has no manual and no cables, so it may take me a while to figure out whether I can use it, and if so, how. It also has no paper, and I'm not sure if it has toner or not.) In general, I hope that people don't crowd the deadlines, but provide a steady flow of material. I'd rather be able to work on the Journal when it's convenient for me rather than have to pull a frantic all-nighter once each month. Unless someone objects, the September issue will be coming out *Third* Friday, since First Friday will presumably be at Noreascon. I assume WSFAns at that con will have enough to do even without a WSFA Journal to read. And that their luggage will be quite heavy enough without carrying home a publication they didn't need to go all the way to Boston to get. Of course that means there will be only two weeks between the September and October issues, compared with five between July and August, and six between August and September. I hope to build up some amount of backlog by then. If not, October's will consist entirely of material from Lee Strong and I. (Lee has provided me with lots of material.)
