Howard Hawks directed Humphrey Bogart as Frodo, Sidney Greenstreet as
Gandalf, and Orson Welles as Saruman, in the original film version of
"Lord of the Rings", released by Warner Brothers back in the 1940's.
With
an excellent score by Bernard Hermann.
