Withthe changes in the book biz, it probably would have closed
eventually.  As far as I know, the nearest specialty SF bookstore is in
Cambridge, MA.  No, I do not count Forbidden Planet in NYC with their
one bookcase of books.

Then . . .  Minneapolis.
