Many law schools have clinics with free/lower cost law advice for people
with low-incomes.  It may be just from a law student, but it might point
you in the right direction.  Barring that, maybe a library would have a
couple of books on bankruptcy law made easy.

This is not the sort of thing one should ignore and hope it goes away.
