As WSFA (should) know by now, I'm publishing 5 books to be premeiring at
Worldcon. The books are being shipped directly to the Hynes from two
locations. I've just received a note from the printer, so I now know
that the total weight being shipped is 1847 pounds. Plus some stuff
being driven up. So, let's call it a ton of books.

One thing I really do not want to hear from WSFAns at Noreascon is "Oh,
I'll get it at WSFA . . . " Well, you could, but I'd rather not have to
pay to have to ship the stuff back. The drayage charge for receiving
and shipping material out of the Hynes is $67.50 per hunderd weight. Do
the math. So you can see that I am serious about wanting WSFAns to do
the shopping of OEB titles at N4. Really.

And yes, I'll be offering some discounts off the list price.

For those whose memory ain't what it use to be, the books in question
are:

Clifford Simak: WAY STATION and CITY
Edgar Pangborn: A MIRROR FOR OBSERVERS and DAVY
(thse 4 are hardcover only)
TERRY PRATCHETT: GUILTY OF LITERATURE, 2nd edition; trade paper &
hardcover (about 200 copies which should sell out at the con).

As I'm sure I have mentioned previously, I'm really pleased with the
cover art for WAY STATION.
