The answer is no.   Just a coincidence of names.   I used to know the
GALAXY illustrator; he lived in the same building I did, at 107 Christopher
St., in NYC, in the late '50s, and we used to get together infrequently.
Almost 20 years later, while I was editing HEAVY METAL, he came up to the
office and visited me.  We chatted, but I didn't buy (or commission)
anything from him.
