DINNER: This Saturday, the 9th, at 7 pm, WSFAns are meeting for a
dinner with Catherine Asaro, Lois McMaster Bujold, Connie Willis,
Patricia Wrede, and possibly other authors, who will be in town for
the Book Festival on the Mall earlier that day.  Dinner will be in a
private room at the Yenching Palace restaurant at 3524 Connecticut
Avenue, NW, near the Cleveland Park Metro Station on the Red Line.
Please allow plenty of extra time if you take Metro, since there
will be Red Line delays due to construction.  Please tell Cat Meier
<fairestcat at techemail.com> if you plan to come.

MOVIE: WSFA members will be watching a free showing of the PRIMER
movie at 7:30 pm at the Landmark's E Street Cinema at 555 11th Street,
NW, near the Metro Center station.  You MUST contact Lee Gilliland if
you want to go, as there are a limited number of passes.  If you take
Metro, please allow extra time, as they'll be running on a holiday
schedule.

CAPCLAVE is October 15th through 17th, at the Tysons Marriott.
Volunteers are needed starting at noon on Friday the 15th.

THIRD FRIDAY meeting will be at Capclave.  You do not need to be a
Capclave member to attend the WSFA meeting, which will be at about
9 pm Friday the 15th in the con suite.

"FIFTH FRIDAY" will be on SATURDAY the 30th, at the Pedersons' in
Stafford, Virginia at 7 pm.  This will be a combination Fifth Friday,
Halloween, and anniversary party.  (It's the Pedersons' first
anniversary, and the Gillilands' eleventh.)  Carpools will be
arranged.

FIRST FRIDAY, November 5th, will be at the Gillilands', as usual.

THIRD FRIDAY, November 19th, will be at the Madigans', in Greenbelt.
This is our new usual third Friday location, and in the future I will
only announce changes from this location.
