Usually they prefer receiving the file in it's original format (Quark, PageMaker, InDesign) since it's easier to fix any problems that may come up. For example, one print company I worked with had occassional problems with Postscript files that would lose their bleed going through the RIP. Once the files has been saved out from it's original format into an EPS or PDF format it becomes exponentially harder to fix problems. Michael D.
