All,

A couple of weeks ago I sent off messages to several e-mail lists I subscribe to about Mensa's National Testing Day. Each message was tailored somwwhat to each different list. I intended these messages as friendly invitations.

Keith responded with the kind of commentary for which he is well known. I completely misinterpreted his message -- and, instead of privately querying him on it, issued a public attack. That was wrong of me. I've known Keith for some years now. I can truthfully say he is a good man, worthy of respect. We have our differences, but we are normally respectful of each other. I truly regret the things I said to and about Keith.

Keith and I have had a private exchange of messages. I've apologized to Keith in these messages. We both, I think, understand each other far better now than two weeks ago.

I am once again apologiving to Keith -- this time in public. I also apologize to this list for exposing it to the dispute between Keith and I. I should have kept it private until it was amicably resolved.

Best,

Chuck Divine
