My intention in mentioning
http://home.insightbb.com/~d.lawson/Jungle_Beat.htm was not to
discredit George Bush or John Ashcroft, but to warn writers of what
can happen, regardless of which party is in charge. Whether it did
happen in that case, I have no idea. WSFAns are all grown up enough
to know that just because something is on the web doesn't prove that
it's true. They don't need me to post a disclaimer.

Something similar did happen to me. It happened when a Democrat
was in the White House, but I've never heard anyone claim that my
mentioning it was intended as an attack on Democrats.

This is a standard nobody else here has been held to. When someone
posted that someone's fanzine collection had been damaged due to
a faulty water heater, you didn't object that no proof had been
provided, or that the posting was an attempt to discredit someone,
or that it's not a good idea to check one's water heater unless the
story can be proven true.

You have stepped way over the line. I do not want to see you or
hear from you again until you have gotten psychiatric help for your
paranoid delusion that everything everyone says is an attack on
George Bush. And until you apologize for implicitly calling me a
liar. I do not lie.

And once more, for the record, I have no preference between Bush
and Kerry.

Until you're ready to publicly apologize, please don't write to
me again.
