Ladies and gentlemen of the Washington Science Fiction Association (WSFA),

Last night, I resigned from WSFA in an effort to restore civility to
the club. Subsequently, a number of the persons who created the hostile
environment have sent me "sidebar" emails containing comments that I find
personally offensive. I therefore must request that no member of WSFA
(except for President Sam Lubell) send me any more email messages of any
kind from this moment forward. If there is something that absolutely must
be communicated to me, please transmit it to Sam and request that he relay
to me.
Mr. Keith Lynch raised a question about whether I wished to retract
or redact my prior contributions to the club including submissions to _The
WSFA Journal_. The answer is No. The club can keep my previous
contributions including fictional, factual, and opinion submissions to the
Journal or Chat List, money, food, etc., etc. My request was intended to
cut off communications from the time of my resignation forward and should
not have been interpreted as a request to rewrite history.
I thank the many, many WSFAns who have made fandom and WSFA a
positive experience, but it's time for me to go. May God Bless you all.

Lee Strong
