Let me say this about that . . .

I enjoy going to small conventions like Midwestcon (tho it's been
ages), I also enjoy the multiring circus of Worldcon.  Balticon is
Balticon. The current Balticon is not the same Balticon I first went to
*mumble* years ago.  But then, the Disclave in the 80s and 90s was not
the Disclave I first went to in the late 60s.

I personally do not see the need to replicate Balticon for the DC area.
 I do however want to grow Capclave.  I have not set a goal, atleast for
now, for next year.  I do believe that with the guest list - and the
efforts of WSFAns to spread the word - that we can grow Capclave in a
reasonable fashion.

Should Capclave grow to the size of the largest Disclaves?  The club
will have to decide that.  Perhaps it might be an idea for folks to
start thinking in terms of a 5 year plan or some such.
