Actually, gaming started independently of SF fandom -- although with major
overlaps -- and filking has now achieved its independence from SF fandom
(with its own conventions, TAFF-equivalent, etc.).

More to the point, *why* do "we want to have more than one track"?   What
purpose does it serve -- besides attracting gamers/filkers/whomever?   How
does it aid in the development of a LitCon?
