And in one year the con shared the hotel with, I believe, > Boy Scouts. Yikes. The Unicon with the Boy Scouts was probably the worst Unicon at the Sheraton, but the worst overall was the first Malice Domestic. The hotel ended up getting their Sheraton franchise yanked because of it. Turns out that the person at HQ handling complaints was a mystery fan; after getting nasty letters from about ten of her favorite authors, she started an investigation. Turns out things were even worse than the letters had implied. Turns out that the Sheraton was under renovation; suppposedly to be finished well before the con. It wasn't; they ended up putting people in rooms with no carpet, rooms where the carpet had just been laid and reeked of carpet glue, and (the champion) at least one room with no water. -- Steve Smith sgs at aginc dot net Agincourt Computing http://www.aginc.net "Truth is stranger than fiction because fiction has to make sense."
