We got a telephone call in the middle of the night (for the first time since Jack has been hospitalized) from the hospital. Jack's trach, which has been bleeding, got worse. They called in the doctor who did the operation and he was unable to do the fix needed because our community hospital wasn't equipped for it and the only hospital in the area that could do them was Shock Trauma. I just called there and he survived the trip (he's medically fragile enough that moving him was a major worry) and they'll be fixing the trach today. Obviously, the move to University Specialty is off." mjw
