I use Word, and not Open Office, only because a lot of the documents I work
on either originate in or are bound for a handful of government offices, and
Word is the standard there.

I like Open Office, it's a great product, and I'd much rather use open
source software if it will do the job I need done.  Unfortunately, while  it's
MOSTLY fine with Word documents, there have been odd little issues in the
past....it's simpler if I just keep my principles in my pocket on this  one.
