Because it was such a narrow miss after so many decades. A few weeks
earlier, and she would have known we hadn't forgotten her. And she
might have been able to cast new light on WSFA's beginnings.

I wonder if she ever looked at WSFA's website, and saw where Joe
Mayhew wrote ten years ago that Chick Derry had been the last of
WSFA's founding members. And I wonder how Joe made that mistake.

I'd like to send a condolence card, but I don't have the daughter's
street address. I suppose I could ask, but it looks like she keeps
it very secret for some reason, since a "whois" on her domain name
lists her street address as:

  ATTN: LISAVDW.COM
  c/o Network Solutions
  P.O. Box 447
  Herndon, VA 20172-0447
  570-708-8780

I suppose we could send a card to that P.O. Box, and trust Network
Solutions to forward it.
