Lynch" <kfl at KeithLynch.net> To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at WSFA.org> Subject: [WSFA] Improved Logo Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at WSFA.org> There have been lots of proposed new WSFA logos discussed here recently. I can't fully participate in that discussion, since mine is a text-only Internet account. I'd been waiting until a consensus emerged. But at last night's meeting Sam Lubell urged me to go ahead and replace the current logo with Gayle's variation, which she had emailed me on the 28th. (Yes, I can receive attachments via email, so long as they are less than about 60k in size. And I can install them on web pages. I'm just a little reluctant to do so since I can't see what I'm doing, and since spammers and viruses have been known to forge the addresses of WSFA members (including me). I would hate to inadvertently install pornography or viruses on our website.) I've installed Gayle's logo on the main page of the mirror site, http://keithlynch.net/wsfa/. I will copy it to our main site, http://www.wsfa.org/, in a couple days if the consensus is positive. If I don't hear anything either way, I will make no further changes until after the next meeting. I think Gayle's change is a minor one, perhaps only in the colors. I don't intent that this preclude more radical changes. In fact, I'd like to completely start over, since my understanding is that the author of the original logo isn't happy with our continued use of it. And since several WSFAns are dissatisfied with it for various esthetic or stylistic reasons. A couple weeks ago I changed the background color on our pages on our main site. Hearing no objection, I've made the same changes on our pages on the mirror site. As always, please promptly tell me if anything looks wrong. Thanks. Please reply only to me, not the whole list, unless you think your comments would be of interest to all WSFAns. Thanks.
