From: "Ernest Lilley" <elilley at mindspring.com> To: "'WSFA members'" <WSFAlist at WSFA.org> Subject: [WSFA] Hugo Nomination Deadline March 11th - Request for Consideration Date: Sat, 5 Mar 2005 22:32:39 -0500 Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at WSFA.org> Dear WSFAn's I was stung by Ted White's comment a while back asking if there was any reason to nominate either Mike Pederson's publication or my own, besides the fact that we're members of the WSFA community. at. It's a good and valid question, but not one that Mike or I can really address. It pushes the envelope for us to suggest that we might be considered at all. I'm sure that Mike would agree that neither of us would like to be nominated by anyone that thought our work wasn't worthy, but that we'd both like the community to at least consider us. Though I'm new to WSFA, I don't think anyone would say that I haven't tried to make a real contribution to the group, and certainly the same should be said of Mike. WSFA has had a significant number of Hugo winners over the years and I'd like to think that the quality of our members is as good as it ever was...but I just got here. So. Please consider the following for nomination in our respective categories. Remember, you get to nominate 5 for each. Website: SFRevu (www.sfrevu.com) Ernest Lilley - Editor Fanzine: SFrevu (www.sfrevu.com) Ernest Lilley - Editor SemiProzine: Nth Degree, Mike Pederson - Editor Are there any other WSFAn's whose work qualifies? I'd like to know so we can at least take a look at them. The Hugo Nomination Online Ballot is at: https://vault2.secured-url.com/secure05/hugonom.htm Thank you for your consideration. All I really want is a rocketship tie tack. Ernest Lilley Editor - SFRevu.com www.sfrevu.com
