I think there should be a room in the White House basement where POTUS could
do standup for the staff without worrying about political correctness. Get
it off his(her) chest. Make tapes and release them after they're dead.

Or possibly

"Politics is easy, Comedy is hard."

Personally, I'd like to see Steve Martin run for president. It would liven
up the State of the Union.

I'm curious to know what search string he used; most of the results he got
are, well, bogus. It'd be fun, though, to work up a routine based on the
idea
of a comedy club in the White House basement. I did some stand-up once
upon
a time, and I can just imagine the results of publically uttering common
comics' phrases such as "I killed at --" or "I bombed at --" followed by
"The
White House".

I wonder how many automated email scanners have gone bananas over the
content of this post? :-)
