That seems a very reasonable and workable compromise.  It doesn't get you
in on chat sessions or access to files or the calender thing, but it would
let folks see the mail stream at least.  It would also let that stream be
fed into this list, if that was seen as a Good Thing (tm).  I doubt that
doing so will be, but it's an option.

Anyone who wants to send mail to the group without being known to Yahoo can
use the same techniques to spoof the headers that SPAMmers use... ;-)
