You have to look at it in light of Microsoft corporate philosophy:   The Word
of Bill, even the Old Testament (DOS, Win3.X), is still the  Gospel.

I'd be willing to bet there are still some MS Fundamentalists who still
cling to the 640K limit.  In a way, I can sympathize a little.   There's waaaay
too much bloatware sold these days.

I used Edlin one time, because my instructor felt like punishing the  class.
After that, nothing but QEdit.
