What's the alternative?  Do it in Richmond or something?  Annapolis?

Could a joint bid with Baltimore work?  I didn't see them listed...

Maybe get Boston and New York involved too, and do a "Bos-Wash" bid?
According to the theories of the 60s, all these metro areas will eventually
grow together into one huge city eventually anyway.  The future is now?  ;-)
