I saw the unabridged Jonathan Strange in the Bowie
library last weekend.  I think it was actually 26 CDs,
but I might have misremembered.  From what I remember
in the review, I think the footnotes are each on one
track irrespective to how long they are.  That way the
listening who doesn't care for them can just skip
ahead.
