The weather report was one thing I got completely wrong. Not only
did I predict it would be clear, when in fact it was pouring rain
all evening, but I completely botched my attempted quote from _1984_,
which I have no excuse for, as there's a copy on my shelves. (I had
"It was a cold clear day in April." The novel begins "it was a bright
cold day in April".

On the other hand, I got the Treasurer's report correct *to the penny*.
Go figure. I also had the location and Lee's opening and closing
announcements exactly correct, and the start time correct to within
two minutes.

I predict the 131st Kentucky Derby will be run on Saturday, May 7th,
2005, at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, that it will be won
by a horse, and that the results will not be reported at any WSFA
meeting or in any WSFA Journal or other WSFA publication, ever.

You've made quite a stir on the list. A couple people after the
meeting asked me if I could point you out to them. You should start
showing up more often if you're going to post so much. Thanks.
