I'm somewhere in the middle. I read THE STARS MY DESTINATION when it was
serialized in GALAXY in 1956 (?), and have felt no urge to reread it at any
time in the subsequent nearly fifty years. On the other hand, I liked
Bester's THE DEMOLISHED MAN far better, and read it several times (the
first time when it was serialized in GALAXY and then again when it was a
Signet Book). Two very different books, in tone, and I found STARS harder
to remain engaged with.
