When I was working at Barney's Coffee and Tea, we had
people come in, look at the bins of coffee beans (this
was before anyone had heard of Starbucks and we sold
coffee by the pound) and ask if those were the beans
used to make instant coffee. Apparently they thought
you just ground them up and they made instant coffee.

People were also unfamiliar with cappuccinos and often
seemed amazed when they received the cup, which they
then proceeded to add milk to.
