I presume it is amusing since Harlan actually wrote for one of the episodes (though he argues that his plot was butchered). For that matter that whole list ignores that there were some science fiction writers who did contribute to Star Trek. The article does make some good points, but Orson Scott Card appears to be looking at the original Star trek through current eyes and who TV is today. He does not appear to be considering what programming was like back then and even when the original Star Trek was heavily in syndication. Neil
