I see that in addition to his tooth problems, Mike is also plagued,
once again, by MIME. Next time, don't just take your mail program
our and shoot it, Mike; drive a stake through its heart.

Hardback books aren't really 317.99, they're 17.99. The extraneous 3
is a MIME dropping. And that garbled URL should be

http://onion.com/news/index.php?issue=4118&n=1

I've put back the MIME fix for pound signs.

I'm still working on the meeting minutes. Can someone remind me who
was giving out back issues of Locus? Thanks. For those who can't
wait: There were no serious nominations from the floor, so the
trustees' slate was elected by acclamation. The meeting locations
in June are swapped. ARCs of _Future Washington_ were present, and
I am currently proofreading one. (There is no "u" in "Ozymandias".)

Mike is also plagued by doppelgangers. Spotted recently in rasff:

I think it must have been the former, just because my first date
with Mike Walsh (no, the other one) was not long after, at the Mardi
  Gras carnival at UCLA.

I know of two Mikes Walshes, so I'm not sure which you mean by "the
other." During the Scottish Worldcon, I went bookstore crawling
with LASFSian Anne Morrell and the Mike Walsh as was formerly
married to Martha Soukup. This same Mike Walsh also once sent me a
cassette of his piano compositions which I enjoyed very much. (One
of them was a Quodlibet on Movie Themes by John Williams which is a
*lot* of fun to listen to!)

From: "Kate Schaefer" <kate at oz.net>

I can't tell which Mike Walsh *is* the other one. That is, the tall,
ginger-haired Baltimore Mike is the main Mike to me, and the (I
think) Vancouver, B.C., Mike is the other one, but I think there
may be yet another fannish Mike Walsh besides.

  From: Ulrika O'Brien <uaobrien at earthlink.net>

Ah, but clearly you *can* tell which Mike Walsh is the other one
since it is, in fact, neither of those. "My" Mike is the one who
started out in fandom at LASFS, dragged along there by fellow
(Cal)Techer, Mike Gunderloy, who was subsequently (and for all I
know still is) married to Martha Soukup but who is now Claire Eddy's
(often entirely invisible) squeeze. Grad school pretty much killed
Mike's written fanac, afaict, so there's not much reason you would
know him unless you were hanging out in the SFWA suite or the TOR
  party at the relevant conventions...

  From: "Matthew B. Tepper" <oyş at earthlink.net>

It is my understanding that Techer Mike Walsh is no longer married
to Martha, but they are still friends. Since I have friendly
feelings toward both of them (and toward Cally, for that matter),
I needn't find myself in any awkward situations in this regard.

From: Cally Soukup <soukup at pobox.com>

Still officially married; unofficially just best friends, as I
understand it. At least, I've not heard of any divorce, and I'm
  pretty sure I would.
