It meets at the Writing Center on Thursdays 7:30 PM - 10 and starts June 9th. Attached are the details. For those who want to write in the genre, either short stories or novels. Emphasis will be placed on plot and character-oriented fiction and on what makes a story suited to be science fiction or fantasy. We will work on revising and rewriting our stories to hone them into their best form. Open to both teenagers and adults. Bring 15 copies of your manuscript to the first session. 8 Sessions. Meets Thursdays, starting June 9, 7:30 to 10 p.m. at The Writer's Center, 4508 Walsh Street, Bethesda, MD 20815.; Tuition: $210 ($180 for Writer's Center members). Instructor: Brenda Clough has written seven novels, including her most recent, Doors of Death and Life. Her short stories have been published in numerous magazines, including Analog SF Magazine and the anthology Starlight 3. Other work has appeared in SF Age, Aboriginal, Marion Zimmer Bradley Magazine, and many anthologies. She was a finalist for both the Hugo Award and Nebula Award in 2002.
