Not since the AMGOT incident, apparently.  The anti-Nixon camp spotted the
acronym CREEP immediately and started making fun of it, oh, about 24 hours
later.  The Committee made no effort to change it to, say, the Committee
to Reelect Our Wellknown Nixon.
