This reminds me of my favorite line from the movie Gross Point Blank, when
the secretary tries to convince the gunman to go to his 10th year class
reunion.  He asks if she went to her 10th reunion and when she says "yes",
he asked what it was like.  Her reply:

   It was as if everyone had swelled.
