It was fun. About half the class showed up. I also
ran into my aunt who was there for her 55th. They
actually served us dinner. I was so busy catching up
with people that I didn't notice when they brought out
dessert until they were already clearing it away
(which is probably just as well given my current
waistline).

On the whole, while people did look like themselves,
the women held up better than the men. Quite a number
of the guys had lost a significant part of their hair
and one guy had about doubled his weight.

People seemed a lot nicer. I think life in general
and having kids etc mellowed a lot of people. A lot
of people came in from out of town. There were people
who came back from California, Florida, Maine, DC, VA
and Colorado. This was the first time one of my
classmates wasn't at sea during reunion (career Navy)
so he came. We were all surprised he'd tried the
submarine service. He's 6'6" which I believe is the
maximum height. It was while he was still a
midshipman and bonking his head on the tops of
doorways everyday for 6 weeks cured him of wanting to
continue with it. He's in procuement now which keeps
him stateside, which makes his wife and kids very
happy.

I had a good time, even though i'm pissed at my best
friend for checkening out at the last minute. She's
in Waldwick NJ, so it's not like it would have been
hugely inconvenient for her to come. I'll definitely
be going to the 25th.
