It must be the season. I'm in Vienna (Austria) where I've just attended my
38th. That's a wonky number, but what's really happening is that it was a
reunion for all 60's students of the American International School
here. It was the 40th for the class of 1965. . .most of these folks have
held up pretty well. A few have not survived. Some have been very
successful, others not so. But very satisfying to see everyone, in any case.

In other news, it may be about time to concede that comity is again
slipping away from the WSFA list, and to consider various forms of
recourse. The passive form, for the younger folks here, has long been
known as the "kill file," where you simply create a filter to trash all
mail from people you consider obnoxious.  Very good on the blood pressure;
also often used as the conclusion to otherwise interminable slugfests.

The other is the possibility of the outright ban, temporary or permanent,
which would put the list administrator in a position where he really
doesn't want to be. But there's just no reason why courteous people should
have to leave because other people are being fuggheads. Keith, at the very
least, please remind other cancelling subscribers of the kill file
option. And begin giving serious consideration to the other.
