I suspect there's going to be another revolution against the British
government...if not, their economy should seriously hit the tank in the
next 10 years as the trucking industry passes on these costs to consumer in
the form of more expensive goods and services much faster than the economy
can adjust to it.

I'm also guessing the satellite system will result in lots of sales of
jammers, shields, and other forms of ECM.  Look what happened to the speed
cameras they set up..."gatsos" they are called.  There's a web page showing
