Time enough to pick things up again after that once people have stopped to breathe. And yes, "everything" includes the British or any other government as well or, given the current temper, we'll have people arguing about the Mongols or some such. And yeah, I'm taking my own advice. I do have one email that has to go out but all the stuff that I've written -- and rewritten, and rewritten, and that doesn't include what I've deleted outright -- tonight is set so that it can't be sent until I actively pull it up again and make a decision on it. Not easy, but at least helped by listening to Gregorian chant rather than other things for about an hour. If anyone remembers the difference between the notation used then and the one that's used now could they reply under a different subject line? I used to know but my mental image is fuzzy. I know that it was done with square notes rather than round and seem to recall that it was a staff of only five lines. Elspeth
