I don't know, but I'm with Elspeth on this one.  The subject wasn't a
problem, and there weren't any calls to shut up about it...until it started
getting personal.  Personal attacks are banned on this list, at least
according to my understanding, and are not a part of rational discourse
anyway.  Ad hominem is not a valid form of argument for any debate.  If
that's the best that can be done with the current subject, then the subject
is apparently exhausted and should be dropped in favor of something else.

I quit posting on that thread yesterday, despite the urge to point out some
irony that appeared in it...and this is my last one on the subject of
whether it should be continued or not.
