A Bucyrus-Erie shovel, similar to the size of that beast,
was part of a lyric by John Prine in his song "Paradise".
Back when I worked for TVA I had a tour of that shovel, at
the time the world's largest self-powered machine, and
wrote about it (and other experiences in Paradise) in a
fanzine article:
