Nope, I completely agree.   Kubrick was far more willing to take  risks to
tell a story HIS way (in this case, as accurately as budget permitted)  than
Lucas.  Lucas told the story the way the audience wanted it, Kubrick  dragged the
audience by the cortex.  Kubrick made the superior film, Lucas  made the
superior money.  So it goes.
