"Personally, James was famous for being a perfect gentleman without a
trace of the stuffiness implied by that description; he was full of
gentle charm and understated wit, an ever-popular convention guest whom

I was so pleased when he told me the advance I paid for reprint rights
to THE WATCH BELOW and ALL JUDGMENT FLED allowed him to get a new
computer system that allowed him to make text really, really big. James
suffered from diabetes, and was, overall, quite healthy... except for
the eyes. Those were beginning to go.

IF = Irish Fandom

A google of "Irish fandom" "wheels of if" brings a number of relevant
pages, including Mimosa. And well worth reading.
