Subject: [WSFA] Last night's meeting

I'm hard at work on the meeting minutes. They may take a few days,
since the meeting lasted nearly an hour.

Part of the reason it lasted so long is that *most* of the people
arrived late. Fifteen people, just barely a quorum, were present when
the meeting began at the usual time, 9:15 pm. Thirty-eight people
were present by the end. The late arrivals slow everything down,
since business has to be delayed or done over, and announcements have
to be made twice.

Would it be possible for people to arrive on time? None of our hosts
or hostesses mind people arriving even a full hour early, so you don't
have to time your arrival just right.

Some people come just to socialize, not for the meeting. Perhaps they
could try and arrive after the meeting, not in the middle of it.

If it's not possible for a substantial number of people to get there
that early, perhaps the meeting time should be changed.
