Subject: [WSFA] Rediscovering Howard
To: wsfa <wsfalist at wsfa.org>

I just wanted to let you know that I've been having a
fun time rediscovering Howard Waldrop due to his
upcoming appearance this year at Capclave. At first I
was not sure how I was going to read his stories.
Then I saw some at the scifi.com archives
http://www.scifi.com/scifiction/archive.html

I just was looking at his short story bibliography at
http://www.sff.net/people/Waldrop/short.htm
and noticed that I have quite a few of the magazines
his stories appeared in and probably read soem of them
at the time. I am going to hunt in my storage areas
to trying to find those to (re)read them.

Capclave in general has got me reading more short
fiction. Before William Tenn's appearance I bought
the two giant volumes of his work. In between each
novel I read, I have been reading a bunch of short
stories - of late my list has included one each of
William Tenn, Howard Waldrop, PG Wodehouse, and Neil
Gaiman. I have a few other short story collections
that I bought at past Capclaves or Disclaves that I'll
probably cycle in later.

Anyway, I just thought you might like to know.

Thanks,

Neil
