Subject: [WSFA] Capclave website cutover complete
Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at WSFA.org>

The Capclave website cutover is complete.

Capclave.org is hosted on globat.com, contains actual content, not
just pointers, and is under the direct control of Paul Haggerty and
Gayle Surrette, rather than Sam Lubell as previously.

I've replaced all the HTML pages on WSFA.org/capc05 with pointers to
the appropriate pages on Capclave.org.

I cannot replace the PDF, JPG, GIF, or TXT files on WSFA.org/capc05
with pointers. But those pages should get no hits. I'll keep them
there for a week, to make sure they're getting no hits, and then
delete them, which will free up valuable space. (The WSFA.org site
is brushing up against its 150 megabyte disk space limit.)

I've left the mirror site, KeithLynch.net/wsfa/capc05, alone. It
should look identical to the content at Capclave.org, unless Paul and
Gayle have made updates in the past couple days that they haven't told
me about. I hope they'll continue to keep me informed of updates, so
that I can keep the mirror site in sync with the main site.

Alternatively, I could replace the pages on the mirror site with
pointers, too. But I'd rather not do that, since it's useful to have
a completely independent backup site, in case something happens to
globat.com. (Globat.com is in Los Angeles. KeithLynch.net is in
Minneapolis. If any disaster strikes both cities, and also DC,
the Capclave website will probably be the least of our worries.)

I look forward to doing the same with the Capclave '06 and '07
websites. Both of which already exist, but have minimal content.
And both of which need updating. Presumably Paul and Gayle will
set up directories such as Capclave.org/06 and Capclave.org/07.

Please take a look at both Capclave.org and WSFA.org/capc05 and
promptly tell me if anything looks wrong. Thanks.
