Dear Madam/Sir:
Our family has had a book collection in the s-f, fantasy, horror
genres for decades. Due to my need to assist my mother with a
house-clearing, we have to dispose of it in a matter of 7 - 10 days
only. If there are any collectors of these types of literature among
your members they are welcome to contact me. We will sell off the
books either individually or in their entirety, however a collector
may prefer, but for speed of disposal we will be glad to let it go to
a single party.
Below I have placed a thumbnail sketch of the scope of the collection.
Cordially,
Stephen A. Wolf
Here is a brief description of the collection: The books number about
735, primarily s.f./f./horror but there are small segments of other
genres -- mystery, detective, supernatural and ghost, and sea tales.
The majority (about 98%) are hardcovers, many of which are first
editions. Strongly represented (multiple titles by each) are H. Rider
Haggard, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Arthur Conan Doyle, C.S. Forester,
Sax Rohmer, S. Fowler Wright, Ray Bradbury, Edward E. Smith, PhD.,
C.S. Lewis, Isaac Asimov, H. de vere Stacpoole, L. Ron Hubbard,
Robert E. Howard, Talbot Mundy, Robert A. Heinlein, Jules Verne, Jack
London, and several of the authors published by Arkham House in its
first decade (making up about 23 titles). Upon request I will be glad
to send the complete listing.
