I'm talking to the various people involved, trying to work out something that will let us all be friends again.

It would be very helpful, if people would refrain from jumping in and saying negative things about one person or another.

Those the center of this disagreement have contributed greatly to the club in the past and wouldn't be so emotional about this dispute if they did not care about what other members of the club thought about them.  We all (and I'm as guilty of this as anyone else) need to avoid taking our fellow members for granted and instead to thank them for the contributions they make to the club.
